Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros., has announced the end date for his long running Youtube series.
Sakurai started his channel back in 2022 after concluding development on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, releasing over 265 episodes as of this writing. As announced on X/Twitter, the final episode of the show will be uploaded on October 15th 2024. That said, Sakurai mentioned that there will be a “special finale episode” released afterward.
Although Sakurai has not explicitly mentioned his future plans, it would not be surprising if he returned to game development. We will be sure to report back with more updates as they come.
