After successfully running Super Mario Sunshine at full speed on Nintendo Switch, homebrew users and hackers have successfully managed to do the same for Super Smash Bros. Melee, one of the GameCube’s bestselling games of all time.
SkullKidChrs, the person who pulled this off, said that in order to make it happen they had to adjust the CPU and GPU overclock settings in Lakka and reduce the Dolphin emulator’s CPU clock from 100% to the 20% – 30% threshold.
Although Super Smash Bros. Melee runs at full speed, the game experiences minor slowdown at certain times. Nevertheless this is still good progress.
