The first reviews have started pouring in for the Nintendo Switch version of Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido, launching tomorrow worldwide.
At the time of writing, the game has a decent 78 out of 100 Metascore on review aggregator Metacritic. We leave you with some reviews below.
Nintendo Insider – 90
An easy recommendation thanks to its fun and unique premise and quirky, polished presentation. Control and local multiplayer grumbles aside, Nintendo’s latest takes you on a deliciously entertaining adventure that will keep you coming back time and time again. Eating sushi has never been so exciting.
Twinfinite – 80
Sushi Striker is pure ridiculous fun, and while it leans heavily on its core gameplay loop, it manages to keep things engaging. Nintendo has proven they have a knack for the absurd, and Sushi Striker definitely feels like it could be the foundation of a new series.
Cubed3 – 80
Its premise may border on ridiculous, but behind its wacky veneer, Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido hides an expansive package. Despite its short runtime, there’s a lot of charm packed into its campaign, and plenty to do once the credits have rolled.
Destructoid – 65
It almost works better in a straight TV show format than it does as a deep puzzler with RPG elements.
