Earlier this week, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition received a massive discount on the Switch 2, going for 75% off on the platform’s US eshop.
As it turns out, this discount was an error on the part of developer CD PROJEKT RED. In an announcement on social media, they confirmed that they made a mistake when submitting the discounts for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition.
The erroneous discounts have since been corrected to a more reasonable 42% off for Cyberpunk and 75% off for The Witcher 3. Rather generously, they have decided to allow players to keep the games if they were purchased at the erroneously discounted rates.
The discounts for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition displayed on Nintendo Switch 2 eShop in the Americas on December 22, 2025 were incorrect.
The situation is a result of an error we made when submitting the discount. We have corrected the error and new discounts have now been applied.
Purchases made at the previous discount rate are unaffected by this change.
