After months of rumors and speculation, Nintendo has officially confirmed that the Switch’s successor is on its way.
Shuntaro Furukawa, president of Nintendo Japan, announced this in a statement following the company’s latest financial results briefing. Furukawa said that they would announce the successor to the Nintendo Switch sometime within this fiscal year, which will end in March 2025.
“This is Furukawa, President of Nintendo. We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year. It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence of Nintendo Switch back in March 2015.
