Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a free major update for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n Fun that will introduce a new mode called Donkatsu Fight. The update launches May 16, 2019 in Japan.
Donkatsu Fight is a new game mode compatible with every single piece of music in the game. In Donkatsu Fight, you accumulate Taiko Power by striking perfect notes to attack your opponent. Once your opponent’s HP depletes, it’s K.O.! Donkatsu Fight could be enjoyed alone or by two players.
Items appear in Donkatsu Fight too. Here are some of the items you can use in battle:
To celebrate the launch of the new update, a DLC song called Gold Armor will be distributed for free from May 16 to August 7, 2019. The regular price of this song is 150 yen + 8% sales tax.
