The biggest award show in the gaming industry will officially be making its return at the end of this year.
Earlier today, industry figure Geoff Keighley finally revealed that The Game Awards 2019 would be commencing live on 12 December 2019. The event will take place at the Microsoft Theater at Los Angeles – marking the fifth anniversary of the show since its conception.
So far, Geoff has not teased about any potential game announcements that will drop at the show. However, we know from past Game Awards that companies such as Nintendo will usually have some surprises to share. For example, Nintendo formally revealed Persona 5’s Joker as the first DLC character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at The Game Awards 2018. Meanwhile, Nintendo also teased Bayonetta 3 at The Game Awards 2017.
We’ll report back whenever more news about The Game Awards 2019 pop up. Stay tuned!
