Guide: Tips To Complete Pokemon Scarlet/Violet’s Mightiest Mark Metagross Tera Raid
Over the course of this weekend, Pokemon Scarlet And Violet players will be challenging a 7 Star Tera Raid which features a Steel Tera Type Metagross with the Mightiest Mark.
This 7 Star Tera Raid gives out a great deal of useful rewards such as Vitamins, Rare Candies, Ability Patches, and most notably, Herba Mystica. This makes being able to complete the raid consistently extremely useful. Below you will find some quick tips and tricks for beating this Raid Battle, as discovered and shared by members of the Pokemon community.
How To Unlock 7-Star Raids
In order to even participate in this raid battle, players will need to progress far enough in the game to qualify for 7-Star raids. This essentially means meeting the following requirements:
Have completed the story and seen the end credits
Have completed all Gym Rematches and the Academy Ace Tournament
Have completed 10 or more raids rated 4* and above.
Once you have completed these steps, the 7-Star Raid will appear both in your overworld as well as on the Tera Raid board.
Metagross’s Ability and Moves
The Tera Raid Metagross has a Steel Tera-Type, meaning that it does more damage with its Steel-Type and Psychic-Type moves.
As a Steel Tera-Type, it is weak to Fire, Fighting and Ground type attacks.
Metagross’s Ability is Clear Body, which makes it immune to stat changes.
Metagross’s notable moves include the following:
Meteor Mash ~ Steel-Type attack that has a chance to raise the user’s Attack stat.
Zen Headbutt ~ Psychic-Type attack that has a chance to make the opponent flinch.
Earthquake ~ Ground-Type attack that hits all opponents.
Thunder Punch ~ Electric-Type attack that has a chance to paralyze the opponent.
Hone Claws ~ Increases the user’s Attack stat
Iron Defense ~ Increases the user’s Defense stat
Light Screen ~ Halves damage done by the opponent’s Special Attacks.
Metagross’s Battle Behaviour
Start ~ Tera Energy Shield and Hone Claws
89% Time ~ Uses Iron Defense
79% Time ~ Uses Iron Defense
70% Time ~ Player Status and Stats Reset
60% Time ~ Metagross Stats and Status Reset

General Recommendations
Avoid using Pokemon with a weakness to Fire, Fighting and Ground moves. Fainting in battle reduces the timer, and if it reaches zero before the raid boss is defeated, everyone will fail the raid battle.

Use Vitamins to maximize your Pokemon’s key stats to increase your chance of successfully completing the Raid.
