As reported previously, the annual Game Awards show will still be taking place this year, albeit with some changes due to the ongoing coronavirus situation worldwide. Well, fans of the show can now mark thdeir calendars for the event!
The Game Awards 2020 will be taking place on 10 December 2020, as an online event livestreamed from Los Angeles, Tokyo, and London. This year’s show will introduce a new award for “Innovation in Accessibility” award – to recognize developers who design games for as many people as possible.
The show’s host, Geoff Keighley, said the following in a press release:
“In 2020, video games have connected and comforted us more than ever, and that makes the 2020 edition of The Game Awards our most important show ever…Our team is working hard to deliver an innovative and thoughtful program that celebrates excellence, previews the future, and amplifies important voices that are shaping the future of this medium.”
