UKIE has published the bestselling video games for the week ending September 21, 2019 in the United Kingdom.

The latest sales figures reveal that The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has become the No.1 best selling game in the UK. Furthermore, the title has sold so well that it has now taken the title of “Best Switch Launch for 2019” in the UK, overthrowing the previous holder Super Mario Maker 2.

The news comes after early figures emerged suggesting The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening may also be in the running for “Best Switch Launch for 2019″ in the US as well. Overall quite an astonishing feat for a remake of an over twenty year old game. We will be sure to report back on more of Link’s Awakening‘s achievements as the days go by.
