The Pokemon Company Donates $200K To Hawai’i Wildfire Relief Fund

The Pokemon Company has announced they will be making a donation towards those impacted by the recent wildfires in Hawai’i.

As revealed in their statement on Twitter, the company will be making a donation of $200,000 USD to their partners at the non-profit Global Giving, who will direct the funds to those affected via their Hawaii Wildfire Relief Fund.

This news comes shortly after The Pokemon Company’s announcement that the 2024 Pokemon World Championships will take place in Honolulu Hawai’i, which has been met with criticism due to clashing views on tourism in the region. For the time being however, this donation should provide much needed support to the people affected by the wildfires.
