As reported previously, Nintendo had teased that it the Switch would soon be available officially in Brazil. Well, fans in the country can now grab the console without relying on third-party exports!
Earlier this weekend, Nintendo Doug Bowser announced the official release of Nintendo Switch in the country. This is the first time the console and its games will be available in the country in an official capacity, especially since Nintendo ceased operations and distribution in Brazil during 2015 due to high taxes and other local challenges.
Reportedly, the retail price of these official sets is 2,999 real (or around 550 USD). For now, the Nintendo Switch Lite console is still not available in the country.
We’ll report back as we hear more about the Switch console family within Brazil in the future. Stay tuned!
