The Sun’s New Super Mario Bros. U Appearance In Super Mario Maker 2 Is Intriguing Fans

Yesterday, Nintendo revealed that the Sun is one of the enemies players could use in their stages in Super Mario Maker 2.

While the Sun more or less looks similar to its Super Mario Bros. 3 appearance in the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World game styles, it has a very intriguing design in the New Super Mario Bros. U game style.

Interestingly, the Supper Mario Broth blog has found that the eyes of the New Super Mario Bros. U Sun look very similar to the Sun Switches from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time:

Still, many fans seem to be on the fence about the Sun’s design in New Super Mario Bros. U, some even commenting that it looks “very gloomy” as compared to it’s Super Mario Bros. 3 appearance.
