The World Ends With You Anime Opening Theme Changed Following Arrest Of ALI’s Drummer

The World Ends With You: The Animation is set to air soon, but recent events have led to the show’s opening theme to be changed.

In an announcement posted on the show’s official Twitter account, it was revealed that the opening theme, “Teenage City Riot”, would be changed following the arrest of the drummer who worked on the song on April 8. Square Enix has also since set the opening theme song to private on Youtube. That being said, the anime’s debut on April 9 will still proceed as scheduled.

As of now, there is no further information regarding the arrest of the band’s drummer. The band stated that they would “continue to monitor the ongoing investigation and handle the situation accordingly.” We will report on any updates regarding this incident as they come, so stay tuned.
