As you know, third party developers have been cashing in on the Nintendo Switch by porting classic titles to the system.
Now an interesting tidbit has surfaced thanks to ResetERA user Waluigilicious. According to a list compiled by Waluigilicious, there are 20 PS1 games that are coming or already on the Switch. If we compare it to the Nintendo 64 which was the same generation as the PS1, there are only 3 Nintendo 64 titles playable on the Switch at this time.
Check out the list below:
PS1:
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2
Crash Bandicoot 3
Crash Team Racing
Grandia (originally on Saturn)
Guilty Gear
Fear Effect
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Mega Man 8
Mega Man X4
Mega Man X5
Mega Man X6
Monster Rancher
Moon
Resident Evil
Spyro the Dragon
Spyro the Dragon 2
Spyro the Dragon 3N64:
Doom 64
Turok
Turok 2
Some say the disparity in Nintendo 64 titles on Switch isn’t unusual as after all, more third party games released on the PS1 than the Nintendo 64. Not to mention, there’s no Virtual Console on the Switch, so we can’t get to enjoy games like Super Mario 64 or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
