Accessory maker Columbus Circle has announced an adapter that allows players to play NES games on a Super Famicom.
Here’s how the “extension convertor” works – you simply insert it into the cartridge slot of the Super Famicom or one of Columbus Circle’s handheld Super Famicom consoles and bam, it plays your NES cartridges.
To beam out gameplay on the screen, you’ll need to connect an AV cable (for the Super Famicom) from the adapter to the TV, or a HDMI cable (for the Columbus Circle handheld console) from the adapter to TV.
Pre-order from Amazon Japan (ships worldwide). The extension convertor for NES launches April 25, 2019 in Japan.
