Accessory maker Gravilogic has shared with us a new kind of accessory that we have never seen before – Switchblades.
Switchblades are stylish rail covers designed for Nintendo Switch. These rail covers, similar to Joy-Con, easily slide into the rails of your Nintendo Switch and lock in place. But what’s the purpose of Switchblades?
According to Gravilogic, Switchblades help to protect the Switch console rails. Inside the console rails are electrical leads crucial for charging and connecting the Joy-Con. The company also says Switchblades help protect the console rails from damage, especially when the console is dropped, and it could give your Switch a classy look when the Joy-Con are not attached to the console.
Switchblades are made of solid hardwood and are coated with mineral oil and beeswax finish. There are dozens of designs to choose from:
Attaching and detaching Switchblades is a simple process. The company has tested it with over 3000 install and removal cycles to ensure it lasts for a long time.
Gravilogic is planning a Kickstarter campaign to help fund Switchblades. We’ll keep you updated when it launches.
