Today we have some interesting comments coming from Tsutaya, a large Japanese retailer with multiple locations selling video games across Japan.
In their latest sales ranking brief, Tsutaya shared their thoughts about the customers purchasing Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
The retailer believes that not all core players or fans of the series picked up a copy of the game. They speculate some of these core gamers could have went the digital route this time. That said, the retailer has seen many female gamers purchasing Fire Emblem: Three Houses instead.
In terms of how the game is doing as compared to past Fire Emblem titles, Fire Emblem: Three Houses has surpassed Fire Emblem Echoes at Tsutaya, but it hasn’t done so for Fire Emblem Fates: Hoshido.
Last but not least, Tsutaya claimed Fire Emblem: Three Houses is “the best game” driving Nintendo Switch hardware sales in Q3 2019.
