Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot recently sat down with GameSpot to talk about Ubisoft’s relationship with Nintendo, working with StarFox for Starlink: Battle for Atlas, and the potential of a Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle sequel.
On Ubisoft’s long relationship with Nintendo, Guillemot said his company has been working closely with Nintendo for a very long time and described themselves as “real partners that are happy to work together”. Ubisoft also admires Shigeru Miyamoto and the other work Nintendo puts out, and feels it’s an honor for them to work closely together for various projects.
About working with StarFox in Starlink: Battle for Atlas, the CEO said it’s never easy to have two brands work together, and Starlink is in some ways helping Star Fox to grow so the collaboration made sense.
Finally, on the topic of a sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Guillemot said he couldn’t give an answer on that yet.
