The Pokemon Company has started a strange new Max Raid Event for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
This new event is all about Magikarp, and causes the fish Pokemon to be much more likely to spawn as a Max Raid battle. Notably, none of the Magikarp can be caught, and there do not seem to be any particular special rewards for completing the battle.
Although not explicitly stated, it is appears that the event is meant to celebrate April Fool’s Day in the game. We will be sure to report back with more details should they become available.
