Undertale Live Summer Tour Planned For 2020, More Details Shared

Last week, AWR Productions and Fifth House Ensemble announced Undertale Live, an interactive orchestral concert based on the hit indie game by Toby Fox.

In an email sent to Kotaku, Fifth House Ensemble artistic director Dan Visconti has revealed more details about the concert’s interactive elements, as well as their plans for future performances. A summary of the key details shared can be found below:

  • Much like in the game, the audience will be able to make decisions about whether to fight or spare different characters, this will determine what songs are played.
  • The concert will have three different “endings”: Neutral, Pacifist, and Genocide, accompanied by visuals from the game.
  • In order to give audiences the opportunity to hear songs they wouldn’t normally hear in particular “playthroughs” (e.g. Megalovania on Pacifist), there may be ways to “jump timelines, get a better ending, unlock secret encores”
  • The concert will evolve based on fan input, which may lead to “incorporating new story segments, encores, and arrangements of unreleased tracks”
  • More shows have been planned for May, with a proper North American Summer 2020 tour already planned.
