Earlier this year, the Super Nintendo World theme park in Japan unfortunately had its opening delayed until further notice. While fans are currently waiting in anticipation to visit its Nintendo-themed attractions, a faint glimmer might finally be appearing on the horizon.
Universal Studios Japan has released an official press release regarding their practices to stem the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Along with this, however, the theme park also confirmed that they would announce the new opening date of Super Nintendo World within Fall 2020.
Here’s a rough translation of the press release snippet below:
“Regarding “SUPER NINTENDO WORLD,” which aims to open before the Tokyo Olympics, we are considering introducing it in line with the future increase in the number of customers, and will announce the opening time around this fall.“
We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for more information on the park. Until then, stay tuned!
