During 1997-1998 a hack and slash game titled “Dragon Sword” was in development for the Nintendo 64 but was sadly never finished or released to the public.
The game was originally created by Team Storm at Interactive Studios who are the team who created such games as the original Glover but this game was never released due to complications with their publisher.
But now a company called Piko Interactive has bought the rights to the game!
Check out this tweet from them below:
This now means that the game could possibly be finished and released on newer consoles such as the Nintendo Switch as well!
It is possible that a Kickstarter could take place to receive funding to help finish this retro game with the same company doing so with their previous project 40 Winks based on the lost N64 title!
If we have any more information to share we will cover it here at NintendoSoup so stay tuned for more!
