Video: Complete Analysis Of Dark Souls Remastered On Switch, Xbox 360, And PS4
Digital Foundry has released an intensive analysis video on Dark Souls Remastered for Nintendo Switch.
According to Digital Foundry, the Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered is based on the exact same Dark Souls released many years ago, so it doesn’t have the same visual and performance improvements the PS4 and Xbox One versions received. For example, the Switch version runs at 30 frames per second (it may decline when things become intense), as compared to the PS4/Xbox One’s 60 frames per second.
Meanwhile, the Switch version is rendered in 1080p and 720p for TV Mode and Handheld Mode respectively. But in certain areas of the game, the resolution drops to 900p in TV Mode. Not to forget, the Switch version’s audio is compressed, making it sound worse than the other versions.
