Nintendo has applied 9 trademarks in Japan today for their various IP.
One of the trademarks is for the word and image “Octo” for the upcoming Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion. Another trademark applied was Wario Land. This is the second time Nintendo has applied a trademark for Wario Land, and the series hasn’t seen a new game in years.
Other trademarks filed were for upcoming games: Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers, Luigi’s Mansion, Mario & Luigi, Metroid, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros., and WarioWare.
