Wii U Replaces Virtual Boy In WarioWare Gold’s Gamer Mini Game

Nintendo has made a subtle change to a mini game called Gamer in WarioWare Gold.

Gamer was originally a mini game that first appeared in Game & Wario on Wii U. In the original Wii U version, a Virtual Boy could be seen at the right side of the room. However in the 3DS version, Nintendo has replaced the Virtual Boy with a Wii U.

Some see this as one of Nintendo’s ways of acknowledging that the Wii U was a failure. The Virtual Boy was considered one of Nintendo’s greatest failures ever, but of course, the Wii U didn’t flop that badly.
