A few days after the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, both the standard physical copy and Collector’s Edition have completely vanished from Amazon Japan.
The digital version is still available for purchase, but for those who prefer the physical copy, they’ll have to wait 1 to 2 months for back-orders to arrive. Third party sellers have started jacking up prices after Amazon ran out of copies.
Since big titles such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 rarely run out that quickly a few days after launch, we can probably expect the game has sold better than expected. Sales figures from Japan will begin streaming in as soon as tomorrow.
