Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Sells Out On Amazon Japan, Following Pyra/Mythra Reveal For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Last week, Nintendo revealed that Pyra/Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would be heading to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as its next two-in-one DLC fighter. Well, it looks like that announcement has already boosted fans’ interest in the character’s original game!

A quick glance at the game’s listing on Amazon Japan reveals that the title has recently been selling out. Currently, Japanese physical copies are now only available from expensive third-party resellers instead – with restocks seemingly struggling to keep up.

While the exact sales figures aren’t available, it’s quite likely that this sales boost is linked to the furor surrounding Pyra/Mythra. While the new DLC character doesn’t even have a release date yet, it looks like the announcement is already paying off for Nintendo!

We’ll report back as we hear more in the future. Stay tuned!
