Tetsuya Takahashi, executive director at Monolith Soft, has revealed a few interesting tidbits about the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna, The Golden Country.
3 years ago when Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was still in development, Torna, The Golden Country was a part of the original prototype for the main game.
Takahashi elaborated it was one of the potential story candidates for the main game. After looking at a number of factors, the team decided not to include Torna, The Golden Country in the base game as it would divert attention and resources away from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Awhile later, when Monolith Soft was deciding on including a new scenario in the Expansion Pass, they went with Torna, The Golden Country to tell its story.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna, The Golden Country launches this September.
