Earlier this week, we reported that Nintendo Of America would be opening their pre-orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition today for the US, exclusively on the My Nintendo store.
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of traffic the store received, many fans were unable to get their pre-orders for the Special Edition when they went live. Following this incident, Nintendo of America took to Twitter to apologize for the issue, and explained that the pre-orders will be made available again at a later date.
Presumably, Nintendo was not prepared for the high level of demand that the Special Edition would receive, resulting in eager fans overloading the website. We will be sure to report back with further updates on when the pre-orders will open again as it comes.
