A second smartphone game that blatantly copies Splatoon has been released on TapTap in mainland China.
The knockoff features four versus four online play, similar to how Splatoon works. The ink, weapons, and mechanics all look similar to Splatoon.
At the time of writing, the Splatoon knockoff hasn’t been taken down by TapTap, and it has so far received 2 out of 5 stars. There’s little Nintendo can do about knockoffs in China, since they don’t have an official presence there.
