Interesting news – it appears that you can use a Joy-Con 2 controller and Joy-Con controller to use as a single control scheme on Nintendo Switch 2.
For example, if for whatever reason you want to use a Joy-Con 2 as a left controller and Joy-Con as a right controller, you can do that in the Controllers applet. While Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t reject this as an invalid control scheme, it may feel weird to play since both controllers are of different sizes:
