If you are looking for lives in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Nintendo has put out an article on the Switch News channel granting players 99 lives in the game.

To receive 99 lives, all you have to do is read the article called “Challenges Await! Those 99 lives just for reading may come in handy.” on the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Channel and scroll all the way to the bottom to claim your lives.
