Earlier today Konami hosted a Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next online presentation, where they made several announcements related to Yu-Gi-Oh! games.
Firstly, a new game called Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was announced for Switch, PC, Mobile, and other consoles. According to a message from senior producer Kenichi Kataoka, this new title will use the Master Rules for the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, and will take advantage of the latest technology to support 4K resolution.
As the name suggests, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is a game that can be played using the Master Rules of the Yu-Gi-Oh! official card game / trading card game.
With a blueprint of “Online Yu-Gi-Oh! for both players and audiences,” Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, iOS, Android, and many other platforms.
Taking advantage of the performance of the latest next-gen consoles, this is the first Yu-Gi-Oh! digital game to officially support 4K resolution. Please try playing the game on a large screen TV. You will be amazed at the resolution that allows you to see the text of the cards placed on the field, and you will be impressed by the sound effects that bring them to life.
We have tried to keep a good balance between the presentation and the tempo of Duels. Also, in card games, it is often difficult for audiences to understand what is going on. But in this game, we are confident that audiences can also enjoy watching it.
In addition, Konami also confirmed that the previously announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyo Battle Royale!! will be heading to the West sometime in Fall 2021, following its release in Japan on 12th August.
