In addition to hitting the 10 million global sales milestone, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom has grabbed another achievement in its home country of Japan.
According to Japanese game sales database Game Data Library, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom achieved the 7th biggest launch for any videogame ever in Japan with a respectable 2.24 million units. This places it at the fourth biggest Switch launch in Japan, after Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 3, and Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.
This is still quite an achievement for the series as a whole, as not even series darling Breath Of The Wild managed to break into the Top 20 according to this data. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
