In the span of just 9 months, 2.5 million Nintendo Switch consoles have been sold in Japan.
This comes at a time where demand for the Switch in Japan continues to remain at an all time high. Switch lotteries have stopped in most places, but it’s still relatively hard to find as stock still runs out quickly.
There’s still no sign on when the Nintendo Switch shortage will officially end, despite the fact in the past 2 weeks, at least 100,000 Switch units have been shipped and sold to consumers weekly in Japan.
If the sales momentum continues, we can expect the Switch to surpass 3 million consoles sold in Japan by early January 2018.
