3rd Party Controllers Have Stopped Working After Switch’s 5.0.0 Update

Multiple users have reported that unofficial third party controllers they’ve been using with their Nintendo Switch have stopped working after installing Nintendo Switch firmware version 5.0.0.

At the time of writing, Nintendo has not officially acknowledged the problem users are facing. Let’s hope they would do so quickly.

In the mean time, you can use your Joy-Con or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to play.
