Earlier this week, TV Asahi aired a special program where they revealed the Top 100 Console Games as voted by their users in Japan, a list which included many Nintendo games, including The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild at number 1.

Over on the official Nintendo Twitter account, Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Mario, posted a special message thanking fans for voting for Nintendo titles in the poll, promising that the company will continue to bring new videogame experiences to everyone in the future. 宮本です。昨夜に放映されました「テレビゲーム総選挙」では数多くの任天堂タイトルにご投票いただき、ありがとうございました。40年近く繰り返してきたゲーム開発のそれぞれのシーンを思い返す機会にもなりました。これからも皆さまに新しい体験を届けられるビデオゲームを作り続けます。

“This is Miyamoto. Thank you for voting for many Nintendo titles in the “Video Game General Election” that aired last night.
