Various financial analyst and firms have chimed in on the success of Nintendo Switch in Nikkei’s latest article on the console.
According to one analyst’s estimate, they predict that Nintendo will eventually sell 200 million Nintendo Switch consoles by the end of the console’s lifetime. If pulled off, it would be a huge feat as Nintendo’s bestselling home console, Wii, sold 100 million units.
In addition, component suppliers for the Nintendo Switch have seen their share prices soar thanks to the console’s success. Share prices of Minebea Mitsumi have soared by 62% since the Switch’s launch. Hosiden and MegaChips both saw a 30% increase.
