Earlier this week we learned that Apex Legends would be receiving a “Champion Edition” retail release for Switch in Japan.
Following the official reveal of Apex Legends‘ release date for Switch, Australian retailer EB Games has published its own listing for the Apex Legends Champion Edition for Switch, confirming that it will release in Australia on March 10th 2021. Like with the Japanese version it is also a code in the box retail release, as is typical for most free-to-play titles that receive this treatment.
That said, those who purchase the Apex Legends Champion Edition will receive a number of additional in-game rewards, including the following:
- 9 Legends Unlocked (all characters up to Season 7)
- Caustic
- Mirage
- Octane
- Wattson
- Crypto
- Revenant
- Loba
- Rampart
- Horizon
- 3 Exclusive Legendary Character Skins
- Wraith
- Revenant
- Crypto
- 3 Exclusive Legendary Weapon Skins
- Triple Take
- Flatline
- Sentinel
- Exclusive Legendary Gun Charm
- 1,000 Apex Coins
At the time of this writing, it is not known whether this retail release will also be appearing in other western territories aside from Australia, although it seems quite likely that it will. We will report back with more details as they come.
