Earlier this week, we reported that the DLC character Terminator T-800 would be joining Mortal Kombat 11 soon. While the deadly android will feature famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s likeness, however, it looks like not all of him will be present.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Interactive has confirmed that Schwarzenegger will not be lending his voice to the upcoming character. Instead, the game will be using a sound-a-like voice actor to fill in the role.
For fans of the character and Mortal Kombat alike, this might be a little disappointing. After all, the Terminator T-800 was more or less Arnold’s most memorable role – producing such iconic phrases on the silver screen such as “Hasta La Vista, Baby” or “Come with me if you want to live.”
All we can hope for now is that the replacement voice actor can capture Arnold’s trademark gusto just as well. We’ll report back if we hear more.
