Astral Chain Sells 32,000 Copies In Its First Week In Japan

Famitsu has published the latest sales data for the Japanese market for the period between August 26 and September 1, 2019.

We finally know how well PlatinumGames’ new action RPG Astral Chain did at launch. The game debuted No. 2 on the charts with 32,236 copies sold. It’s unclear whether the sales figures include the Astral Chain Collector’s Edition.

Coming in at No. 3 is Super Mario Maker 2 with 22,580 copies sold and No. 4 is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 11,114 copies sold.

Last but not least, Nintendo Switch hardware sales tripled from 30,072 units to 90,553 units as the longer battery life version was released.
