Koei Tecmo’s latest Switch RPG, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, launched in Japan on December 21, 2017.
Media Create rankings show the game debuted at 21,129 copies sold on PS4 last week. Besides PS4, Atelier Lydie & Suelle was developed for Nintendo Switch and PS Vita as well, but both versions were nowhere to be found on the Media Create rankings.
According to Dengeki Online, the game sold 22,681, 7,806, and 6,684 copies on PS4, PS Vita, and Switch respectively, making the Switch version the worst selling version among the three.
Japanese commentators suggest that the game has sold lower than many had expected (at most below 16,000 copies) on Switch. Some were shocked with the idea that the Switch version sold way less than the PS4 version.
Atelier Lydie & Suelle arrives in North America and Europe in March 2018.
