With four more characters remaining unrevealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s second fighter DLC season pass, fans are once again speculating wildly about who could be joining the game’s roster next. Of course, even game developers are holding out hope that their characters will one day enter the Super Smash Bros. hall of fame – and the folks behind alchemy RPG Atelier Ryza are no exception, either!
During an interview with Nintenderos, the game’s producer Junzo Hosoi was asked what he thought about Ryza herself getting into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While Hosoi mostly brushed it off as unlikely, he shared that the Atelier Ryza team would be fully supportive of such a move:
(Rough translation): “I don’t think we are included in Nintendo’s plans. However, if asked if we would like it to be included, I think the whole development team would answer with a big “YES…”
Of course, Nintendo and Smash Bros. producer Masahiro Sakurai will probably be very picky with their choices for the four remaining DLC characters (if they haven’t already decided on all of them, that is). We’ll just have to wait and see what other surprises are in store for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Atelier Ryza fans in the future.
