Today is Goku Day!
How come, you ask? Well, in Japanese, you can pronounce the number 5 as ‘Go’ and number 9 as ‘Ku’, combining them up makes ‘GOKU!’
And to celebrate this very special day, Bandai Namco have put up a Goku Day video featuring Goku’s various forms from DRAGON BALL FighterZ. The trailer also features the Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku soundtrack available in the Anime Music Pack 1.
Also, today marks the launch date for Kid Goku (GT) paid DLC character joining the game’s roster and as part of the FighterZ Pass.

Beginning in 2015, the Japan Anniversary Association designated May 9th officially as Goku Day. How did Goku Day fall upon May 9th? The explanation falls upon the Japanese language where the number 5 is pronounced Go and the number 9 is pronounced Ku, put them together and you have GOKU; and thus, Goku Day was born! Goku Day has become a day to celebrate one of the most iconic manga/anime characters to come out of Japan and his positive inspiration and impact on countless fans around the globe.
