Recently, Nintendo released some brand new DLC for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (titled Special Episode) on Nintendo Switch which brought many new levels and a brand new story!
Well it seems at the end of the DLC’s story, the main objective was to obtain the Super Crown power up (that turns Toadette in to Peachette) from New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe which explains why they appear in that game!

This is a theme Nintendo has decided to continue this theme with the port of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on Nintendo Switch even tying in with Super Mario Odyssey back in Summer 2018!
