Longtime gaming enthusiasts are likely familiar with the Konami Code, a cheat code that Konami would frequently hide in their titles, most famously used in Contra to give the player 30 lives.
Today, a new use of the Konami Code has been discovered by speedrunners Moises and Liquid Cat, one that has remained hidden for almost 25 years. It comes from the game Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness, a 1999 re-release of Castlevania 64. By entering the code inputs on the game’s title screen, players can unlock the character Henry, or unlock all characters and costumes along with the game’s “Hard” mode.
