Nintendo and other companies have released a number of official steering wheel controllers for Mario Kart on Switch, either as an entirely new peripheral or an attachment that relies on motion controls.
If you have access to a 3D printer, you can try out an alternative released by Munchylad101 on Thingiverse. This 3D printed attachment is assembled on top of the basic Switch Joy-con controller grip, allowing you to play Mario Kart using a mini-steering wheel while still technically using a normal control scheme. According to a recent review from Twitter user @hdiv6xeWxcLUS51 however, it seems it might just be easier to play without it.
