Square Enix has announced they will be extending Season One of Chocobo GP’s Prize Pass content.
The end date of Season One has been postponed from 16th May to 30th May, giving players a few weeks more to earn the various rewards that are present on the ladder. In addition, Square Enix will also be adjusting Season mechanics to allow players to carry over any remaining Gil currency to the next season, instead of converting them to points.
Presumably, these adjustments are in response to the criticism the game received from players at launch regarding the Season Pass and other freemium mechanics. Only time will tell whether or not these changes will be enough to redeem the game in the eyes of its detractors.
