Yesterday, we shared with you the possibility of Civilization VI lacking online play on Nintendo Switch.
Today, 2K Games has confirmed with Eurogamer that the Switch version of Civilization VI will absolutely have no online play. The company also threw out the possibility of patching in online play at a later date.
“Civilization 6 for Nintendo Switch includes support for local cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to four players via a Wireless Network. It will not have online multiplayer.”
This might be disappointing for some fans who were planning to pick up the game on Switch, as Civilization VI supports online play on other platforms.
